For instance, a RFID tag is attached to the component then it goes further to its next assembly line, the processes are recorded which are performed on the component till it becomes a part of the final product.

The product is checked on the final stage for the various parameters. Since all the recipes are already fed in the software/computer. At the end computer checks whether the product is actually produced as it was desired.

For industry it means highly flexible mass production that can be rapidly adapted to market changes.

Through Industry 4.0 the maintenance is planned very well in advance.

With Industry 4.0 it uses the data of past to predict the future maintenance requirement, this is what is used for preventive maintenance.
